Will is a document through which a person confers their legally owned assets onto other people after their death. Any person who has attained the age of majority can write a Will. Registration of Will is not mandatory in India, it’s considered to be a personal choice of the Testator. However, it is advisable to register a Will as it gives legitimacy and reduces disputes between heirs after the demise of the Testator.
